1 Corinthians 8: 1-3
Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth. And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know. But if any man love God, the same is known of him.
Our mission from Jesus: "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age." (Matthew 28: 18-20) The first step is to be a disciple yourself, and to learn all that Jesus has taught. The Bible is the instruction manual for becoming a disciple. The second step is to make disciples by teaching others all that you have learned. Having knowledge unto yourself will puffeth you up. Teaching that knowledge edifieth others.
The purpose of this blog is to address this mission. Read the Bible passage each day and then share your thoughts about whatever jumps out at you. Ask questions or answer others questions, Teach or learn. Post your comments throughout the day or read ahead and send me an email with your take of an upcoming reading. (for the schedule of the daily reading we follow the year plan on Christianity.com)
