Jeremiah 16:15
but 'As the Lord lives who brought up the people of Israel out of the north country and out of all the countries where he had driven them.' For I will bring them back to their own land that I gave to their fathers. This passage confirms the covenant that God made with the Jewish people starting with Abraham in Genesis 12. Genesis 12:1-3 Now the Lord said to Abram, "Go from your country and your kindred and your father's house to the land that I will show you. And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed." In Deuteronomy 7:9-10 God again states the covenant with Moses guaranteeing that the faithful would have a thousand generations of protection. Deuteronomy 7:9-10 Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments, to a thousand generations, and repays to their face those who hate him, by destroying them. What are examples of nations being blessed or cursed by God because of their own blessing or cursing upon the Jewish people?
