Reading for Friday October 4, 2019Matthew 7: 13-14
"Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few. Matthew 7: 15 "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves. The only path to salvation is by following Jesus through the narrow gate. Other paths may be easier, but they lead to destruction. Those who want to lead you through the wide gate will be many, but they will represent themselves as a true path. Jesus warns us about these wolves in sheep's clothing. These false prophets will represent themselves as righteous people. We need to be wary of them and follow Jesus, the true Way. The best way i know to do this is to read the Bible for yourself, make your own conclusions, hear what others have to say, and then test it all against your core beliefs. Hold onto was is good and reject that which is not. Jesus is the Way. The path is narrow... may you find The Way!
