This jumped out at me:
Revelation 3: 19-20
Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock.

My take:
     If there was a knock at your door, and upon looking through the peep-hole you see that it is Jesus at your door, would you open the door for Him?  Of course you would.  So when Jesus comes knocking in little and big ways every day... open the door.
