Introducing:
The Way Anchor Way - Your Way - His Way
Week A'Way
Would you like to go on a trip with all the benefits of a group, but with the flexibility of traveling solo?
The main advantage of group travel comes down to sharing. Share the experience with like-minded Christians You will have many opportunities to socialize and share experiences with those in the group that you already know well and also with those you just met. In addition, every member of the group is a guide who enhances your experience with their unique and varied perspectives on the sites you see together.
The main advantage of solo travel comes down to flexibility. There's no need to coordinate flights, hotel reservations, and site-seeing. Plan to do one thing, change your mind and do something else. Sleep late, rise early, stay out late, take a nap - spend more time at sites you like, fly by, or skip, those that don't interest you.
The Way Anchor Week A'Way gives you all the advantages of both. You will have the flexibility to follow the group itinerary as much or as little as you like. See what you want to see when you want to see it, meet up with the group as often as you like, break off in groups of 1, 2, 3,...20, share as much as you like... it's "Your way" the Way Anchor way.

7 Steps to a Way Anchor Week A'Way
Step 1: Which destination are we going to place on our path?
We host our week A'Ways in cities that offer a lot for Christian travelers to "dive in". These are cities that cannot be crossed off of a bucket list after the first visit because each return visit offers something new and rewarding. We choose cities where site-seeing passes and transportation cards are available in order to provide group members with the flexibility to follow the group itinerary when they want and branch off in groups as small as one when they want that option. Finally, we choose cities that can provide you with a complete vacation get A'Way while also being a good starting point for a longer vacation. You could schedule back-to-back Week A'Ways in nearby cities (think Rome & Paris or Lisbon & Madrid). You could schedule a retreat before or after (think: a week in Rome followed by a week in the Italian lakes or a week in Paris followed by a week on the French Riviera). You could also take a cruise or tour before or after the week A'Way (think: Rome & Mediterranean cruise or Lisbon & a tour of Portugal).

Step 2 With whom will we break bread and share wine?
Option 1: Gather 20 or 30 of your friends and family then proceed to the planning phase. With a set number of travelers in place and with plenty of lead time we are able to customize your get A'Way and negotiate some group events. (The number that constitutes a group is actually whatever number you want it to be. All we need to begin planning your custom get A'Way is that "set" number and some time)
Option 2: Join a get A'Way hosted by Way Anchor. We handle the planning for you. You decide: your class of accommodations, your side-trip destination, and your menu. You'll meet other like-minded travelers, Your "last-minute" deciding friends and family will be able to join you at, you know, the last minute.
Option 3: Be the Host: Alright calm down, it's a lot easier than it sounds. We still do all the planning and reservations for you. Really, all you have to do is decide where and when you want to go. We'll make a reservation for you based on your preferences then we put out the invite. You can make it a private invite where only those you tell are able to join, or you can make it a public invite where we will put it on our calendar and fill out your group with friends you haven't yet met. Either way, we handle all the details for you just like on the trips that we host ourselves. There is no need for you to collect or disperse anything, or try to coordinate flights, hotels, or itineraries.
Option 4: Join a hosted get A'Way: Check our calendar and join a group going to your choice of destination. You'll retain the flexibility of an independent traveler, but with the benefit of having 20 or so friends that you haven't yet met being there when you want to share the experience.
Option 5: Go it alone: You'll still get your choice of accommodations, dining, and sites; and we'll still handle the reservations for you, but the provided itinerary is really just suggestions at this point and you won't have anybody with whom to share the experience.

Step 3: They will know that we are Christians
We will provide you with a shirt and luggage tags emblazoned with the Way Anchor Christian Travel Logo. That'll be one clue. As we walk about the streets and sites as a group, others will know by our conversations, actions, dress, and choice of what interests us that we are a group of travelling Christians. We promote: our faith, our country, tourism, and the business of Christian travelers by enjoying ourselves in these groups. You see a group of people having a great time - and - you want to know why - and - maybe you want to be a part of it.

Step 4: Walk in the light
You will see brochure racks in the airport, in the hotel lobby, shops, and restaurants. You will get recommendations from... everybody. All in the effort to separate tourists from their money. The best sales pitches are not necessarily paired with the best experiences for the tourist. Thereby, we get the term "tourist trap". Some of the most amazing experiences are free, and yet, have no pitchmen promoting them. We provide you with an itinerary that (should you choose to accept it) will keep you out of traps. Of course, there are "traps" that you will want to bear because you just couldn't, let's say, bear to go to Paris and not see the Mona Lisa, or bear to go to Venice and not ride in a gondola. With the information we provide you, will know the difference between "tourist traps' and "bear traps", as well as the difference between main roads and back roads. Day or night, your path is lit when you have the information to put places on your path for the right purpose.

Step 5: See beyond just bricks
Ruins require you to "see" what is no longer there.
Monuments require you to know the back story to "see" the importance.
Art requires you to time travel to "see" the piece as a member of the original and intended audience.

Step 6: Look for signs
Many times, the major tourist attractions in a city are its cathedrals, and its religious art, but Christian travelers also look for displays of faith in otherwise secular settings. In addition to your pictures of St Peters and Notre Dame, look for opportunities to get that selfie next to a shop or restaurant displaying the nativity, a statue of Jesus in a public square, an individual wearing a cross, etc.

Step 7: When in Rome ... (or wherever you are)
We get off the beaten tourist path (ever so slightly) by going shopping for our picnic supplies. Generally, tourists eat in restaurants and have no need for groceries. Locals shop for groceries. You will find tourists in the park, but likely they will be outnumbered by locals. And on Sunday mornings, even the most tourist visited-churches in the world will not be filled with tourists, but rather with traveling Christians and with local Christians.
